Wine Review: This pitch-black colored Cabernet Sauvignon from Bezel in Paso Robles opens with a mild ripe blackberry and oak bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied with integrated medium acidity. The mouthfeel balanced, round and dense. The flavor profile is a concentrated blackberry and black currant blend with notes of stony minerality and black tea. I also detected some hints of loam and black licorice. The finish is dry and its well managed refines tannins are nicely sustained. The Cab would pair nicely with braised short ribs. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: Our Cabernet Sauvignon from Paso Robles is bold and generous, with intriguing depth and loads of California charisma. Layers of sun-kissed wild blackberries alternate with boysenberry jam, dried bay leaf, and dark chocolate. This California Cab makes friends wherever it goes.
