Wine Review: This deep white gold colored Chardonnay from Beringer opens with a pineapple and lemon bouquet with hints of chamomile tea, lychee, and a touch of pineapple. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied with medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, creamy, and viscous with managed brightness. The flavor profile is a pineapple, lemon, and light oak blend with notes of Anjou pear and white pepper. We also detected hints of green tea, lime, and stony minerality. The finish is dry and refreshing. We would pair this Chard with chicken picatta or with crab cakes. Enjoy – KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: This Chardonnay is vibrant, luscious, and full-bodied, a delightful example of Napa Valley expression. On the nose, perfumed white floral notes of honeysuckle and citrus blossom aromas leads to a creamy mouth-enveloping palate with layered flavors of pomelo, pineapple, and mango. Balanced oak offers hints of vanilla and ginger spice, while golden delicious apple and brioche toast enhance the experience. A hint of minerality compliments the fruit-forward character, all leading to a lovely, mouthwatering, and crisp, refreshing finish with length and depth.
