Wine Review: This deep ruby colored Cabernet Sauvignon from Beringer opens with a ripe blackberry and black cherry bouquet with hints of wet stone and menthol. On the palate, this wine is full bodied with plus acidity. The mouthfeel is round, bright, and fresh for a Cab. The flavor profile is ripe blackberry and oak blend with notes of stony minerality and black currant. I also detected hints of black cherry, black pepper, and black licorice. The finish is dry, and flavors and acidity and moderate tannins linger nicely. I would pair this Cab with grilled steak tips. Enjoy – Ken
