Wine Review: This deep ruby colored Cabernet Sauvignon from Beringer is Excellent! It opens with a pleasant black currant and ripe black cherry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied with medium acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced and bright for a Cab. The flavor profile is ripe black currant and blackberry blend with notes of black licorice. I also detected hints of graphite, black tea, and oak. The finish is dry, and its dusty moderate tannins and flavors linger and last for a little while. This wine gets even better with some aeration. I would decant this impressive Cab and then pair it with a New York strip steak. Enjoy - Ken
