Wine Review: This yellow colored Chardonnay from the Oak Knoll district opens with a fragrant oak and pear like bouquet. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, balanced and rich. The flavor profile is a very tasty apple with notes of integrated toasted oak. I also detected hints of minerality, butter, and melon. The finish is dry and its flavors last for a very long time. I would pair this Chard with chicken cordon bleu. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Meaning "light" in Latin, Luminus naturally represents the radiance of this Chardonnay. Laurie has always admired the Chardonnay from our Big Ranch Vineyard for its elegance and balance, and the 2012 vintage marks the debut of this distinctive wine. The 2012 Luminus has a striking purity of fruit, and showcases bright citrus characteristics and a beautiful minerality. It has a robust acidity, notes of lemon pith, almond extract, and a silky, elegant texture.
