Wine Review: This yellow colored Chardonnay Benovia is Excellent. It opens with a fragrant apple and pear bouquet with a hint of oak. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, very nicely balanced, rich and smooth. The flavor profile is a delicious mild pear with notes of gentle oak and apple. I also detected a hint of ginger and white pepper. The finish is dry and its flavors drift away nicely. This terrific Chardonnay is very food friendly and would pair perfectly with lobster with drawn butter. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: Maybe the most Burgundian Chardonnay in our portfolio, this seductive Chardonnay displays explosive aromas of tangerine blossom and William Pear with underlying mineral notes. On the pallet, the wine displays tension between bright acidity and cool-climate structure, framed with flavors of white peach and lemon custard. This wine is delightfully elegant upon release but will continue to gain complexity with bottle age for 3 to 5 years.
