Wine Review: This dark ruby colored Cabernet Franc from Barlow opens with an inviting blackberry and cassis bouquet with hints of oak. On the palate, this wine is full bodied with integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, smooth, seamless, and fresh. The flavors are a blend of concentrated black raspberry and black pepper with notes of loam and blackberry. I also detected hints of black licorice, black tea, and cedar. The finish is rather dry, and its flavors, acidity, and dusty tannins build-up and stick around for quite some time. I would pair this Cab Franc with duck confit. Enjoy – Ken
