Wine Review: This white gold colored Chardonnay from Pouilly-Fuissé opens with a light lemon and chalky minerality. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with integrated medium acidity. The mouthfeel is well-balanced, silky, and delicate. The flavor profile is gentle pineapple and chalky minerality blend with notes of saline and baked pear. We also picked up a hint of light lemon. The finish is dry and its flavors drift away nicely. We would pair this versatile and food friendly Chard with baked Dover sole or with broiled diver scallops. Enjoy – Ken & Dave
Winemaker Notes: A gorgeous pale gold color, this Pouilly-Fuissé flaunts a complex nose of yellow flowers and fresh stone fruits which are complemented by light toasted notes of almonds and gingerbread. The palate is well-balanced, round and rich with fresh & light toasted flavors that linger on the long finish.
