Wine Review: This translucent and medium brick red colored Pinot Noir from Au Bon Climat is impressive. It opens with a mild black cherry and cedar bouquet with hints of rhubarb, loam, and red raspberry. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with integrated medium acidity. The mouthfeel is well-balanced, round, gentle, and very approachable. The flavor profile is a tasty blend of light loam and black plum with notes of black cherry and gentle cedar. We also detected hints of black tea, crispy bacon, stone dust, and black pepper. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity, and refined moderate tannins linger and last for a very long time. We would pair this food friendly Pinot Noir with beef bourguignon. Enjoy – KWGTP
