Wine Review: This dry red colored Pinot Noir opens with an attractive boysenberry and red plum bouquet with a hint of vanilla oak. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced, smooth and savory. The flavor profile is a tasty red plum and oak blend with notes of clove and cinnamon. I also detected a hint red cherry and strawberry licorice. The finish is dry and its flavors show nice length. This Pinot is very enjoyable on its own. That said, it would also pair nicely with duck confit. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: The fruit comes from the Bien Nacido Vineyard and Le Bon Climat Vineyard, both in the Santa Maria Valley. The wine shows off complex aromatics and layered flavors of cranberry, red berries, rose petals, and spice, signature characteristics of this wine growing region. A wonderful accompaniment to thick, oak-grilled pork chops, wild game, or Coq au Vin.
