Wine Review: This white gold colored Friulano opens with a gentle ruby grapefruit, melon, and white peach bouquet with a hint of wet stone and beeswax. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied with medium acidity. The mouthfeel is slightly creamy and nicely coats your mouth. The flavor profile is a mild grapefruit and granny smith apple blend with notes of stony minerality. We also detected hints of white peach and key lime. The finish is dry, and its flavors fade away nicely. This Friulano is food friendly and versatile. We would pair it with New England-style oven baked haddock or linguini with a white clam sauce. Winemaker Notes: This Friulano is a bright straw-yellow colored wine with subtle greenish highlights. The elegant, delicate nose offers hints of spring flowers, while the fresh, full-bodied palate has a slight aftertaste of bitter almonds. It is an excellent accompaniment to delicate fish dishes, snails, and frogs’ legs, and also goes nicely with white meats.
