Wine Review: This dark red colored blend from the North Fork of Long Island is impressive and one of the better red wines that I have covered from the Island recently. It opens with a nice blueberry and plum bouquet. On the palate, this wines is medium bodied, balanced and smooth. The flavor profile is a tasty black cherry with notes of blueberry and nicely integrated minerality. I also detected hints of gentle oak as well. The finish is dry and its flavors and moderate tannins are nicely prolonged. I would pair this very nice wine with a juicy Kobe bacon burger. Enjoy – Ken
