Wine Review: This midnight black colored wine from Rioja opens with a blackberry and old oak bouquet with a hint of new leather. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, nicely balanced, and smooth. The flavor profile is a very tasty mineral infused black licorice with notes of oak, gentle blackberry and dark chocolate. The finish is dry and its mild dusty tannins drift away nicely. This wine is very food friendly and would pair well with a filet mignon. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: A wine with a well-defined and structured backbone that contains angular shapes which denote power. It presents itself with cautious speech in a submissive way when first entering the mouth, and the strength of its blended tannins and its powerful balance are appreciable in the mid-palate.
