Wine Review: This very dark ruby colored Italian red blend opens with a plum and wet rock bouquet with hints of musty oak. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced, and juicy. The flavor profile is a mineral infused plum with notes of old oak and black olive. The finish is dry and its mild dusty tannins and mineral notes are nicely prolonged. This wine is very Old World styled. The fruit is secondary to the terroir that comes through. I would pair this wine with beef bourguignon. Enjoy – Ken
