Wine Review: This pale white gold colored Chardonnay from the Dundee Hills in Oregon opens with a vanilla custard and Anjou pear bouquet with hints of oak and a touch of golden raisin. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied with integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is nicely balanced, round, fresh and very bright. The flavor profile is a blend of lemon tea and chalky minerality with notes of green apple and mild butterscotch. I also detected some hints of honeycomb and kiwi. The finish is dry, and its flavors and acidity are very extended. This Chardonnay would pair very nicely with crab cakes with remoulade sauce. Enjoy - Ken
