Wine Review: This pale gold colored Chardonnay from Anton Stone opens with a lime zest and lemon bouquet with hints of sea spray, pineapple, and wet stone. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with integrated medium acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, smooth, gently bright, and graceful. The flavor profile is stony minerality and green apple blend with notes of lime, saline and green tea. We also detected hints of faint pineapple and a touch of white grapefruit. The finish is dry, and its flavors and acidity linger and then drift away nicely. We would pair this Chard with linguini with clam sauce or raw bar. Enjoy - KWGTP

Winemaker Notes: The 2023 Anton Stone Santa Lucia Highlands Chardonnay. (75% Stainless Steel 25% New French Oak) This is from the Escole Vineyard halfway up the mountain. The Maritime climate of Monterey Bay has a huge influence on the crisp citrus mouthfeel that defines the region. The granite soils resonate in the wine’s deep minerality and classic "Chablis-like" style. This is the lean racy style that appeals to those who appreciate acid and a crisper palate. This wine will age beautifully. If you prefer the lean racy world of acid-driven wines, this is your jam!
