Wine Review: This bright ruby colored Syrah preformed quite nicely in our mini blind tasting. It opens with a fragrant red currant bouquet with hints of cranberry and blueberry. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, very well balanced, and smooth. Tasters noted how much they liked the mouth feel. The flavor profile is a pleasant blend of red raspberry and cherry vanilla with notes of integrated light oak. The finish is dry and its moderate tannins are nicely prolonged. This Syrah is very food friendly and versatile. We would recommend it with a pork tenderloin over the next couple of years. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: Exhibiting a satiated, vibrant ruby color, this Syrah emits rich aromas of wild blackberry, plum and strawberry that continue in the mouth with chocolate and coffee flavors from the barrel. The cabernet sauvignon boosts the structure of the wine in the mid-pallet and augments the cassis and clove aromas. The amenable, big tannins carry the diverse flavors through the mouth for a long, rewarding finish.
