Wine Review: If you are looking to try something different, how about try a Lagrein from Alto Adige? This Old World styled wine is an opaque indigo ink colored wine that opens with smoky oak and mild blackberry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced, and approachable. The flavor profile is an oak infused gentle black currant with notes of black plum, black pepper, and some earthy qualities. The finish is dry and its mild tannins linger slightly.
