Wine Review: This very dark garnet colored "Old World" styled Cabernet Sauvignon from Chile opens with a fresh cut cedar and black currant bouquet with hints of pencil shaving and black olive. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied in integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round, and a bit rustic. The flavor profile is a bay leaf and black currant blend with notes of green olive and graphite. I also detect hints of red plum, tobacco, and oolong tea. The finish is dry, and its dusty tannins linger nicely. This Cab paired well with my beef bourguignon. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Elegant wine with red fruits, spices and black pepper notes. In the palate it shows great tannin structure and freshness that makes it vibrant and easy to drink. Thanks to its acidity, it becomes a versatile wine that can be combined with a wide variety of flavors and foods.
