Wine Review: This pitch black colored Malbec opens with fragrant blackberry and beef jerky bouquet. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, balanced and juicy. The flavor profile is a blackberry and mineral blend with notes of smoked beef jerky black tea and mild oak. I also detected a hint of plum towards the end. The finish is dry and its flavors stick around for a little while. There are virtually no tannins. This is a food friendly Malbec that would pair well with hearty dishes. I would choose wild boar lasagna. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Brilliant ruby color with violet edges. Strawberries, raspberries and ripe fruit with touch of pepper and spices aromas. In mouth, flavors of red fruit, spice and hints of vanilla from aging in French oak. Round, soft tannins lead to a delicate, lingering finish. Food Pairing: Meat baked with roasted vegetables, dried pasta with ragu, potato and meat pie, pizza, and dark chocolate.
