Wine Review: This dark red colored Pinot Noir from Alloro was well-received by the Tasting Panel. It opens with a fragrant pomegranate and plum bouquet with hints of stone dust, sea spray and florals. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, slightly acidic, velvety and fruity. The flavor profile is a ripe red plum, baking spice and raspberry blend with notes of mellow minerality. The finish is dry and its fruit flavors and acidity had nice length. The Panel suggested pairing this Pinot with a wild pheasant in mushroom and wine sauce along with Emeril's savory wild mushroom bread pudding. Enjoy – KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: This savory wine reveals an intense perfume of fresh black cherries & blueberries, with toasted hickory, cinnamon, clove, and cola. Full bodied, ruby in color, with fine, velvety texture, pleasurable persistence, mid-palette sweetness, and mouth-watering acidity, that provides tension. This wine has a long finish that lingers with fresh black cherries & blueberries, baking spices, and cola notes.
