Wine Review: Garnet in color with aromas of Easter florals, turned earth and loam. Flavors of dehydrated strawberry and wild cherry on the entry, with an abundance of new oak to give the wine a distinct old-world profile. This wine is well-built and food friendly, though the abrupt finish degrades it a bit. Pair with chimichurri steak tips. - Jeoff Hall
Winemaker Notes: Our Alamos Cabernet Sauvignon expresses the deep, rich dark berry fruit notes that are hallmarks of the variety, complemented nicely by slight herbal characteristics. Firm tannins and oak aging emerge to add complex layers of vanilla, clove and black pepper to this wine.
