Wine Review: This dark pink colored wine from Sonoma Valley opens with strawberry and slightly barnyard bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, very well balanced and smooth as silk. The flavor profile is a tasty fine mineral infused light red cherry. I also detected a hint of citrus throughout. The finish is dry and refreshing. This Rose is very food friendly and would pair well with many foods. I would pair it with steamed Nova Scotia mussels. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: Made from Grenache and Mourvedre, this pale salmon-hued rose is expressive of both its Rhone variety, and alluvial soil, origins. Layered aromas of Cara Cara orange zest, flinty minerality and fresh rose petals playfully emerge from the glass. A zippy palate of nectarine, tart baking cherries and mouth-salivating acidity is elegantly balanced with delicate flavors of early-season strawberries and a soft, coating mouthfeel.
