Wine Review: I met Aaron Jackson at the Boston Wine Expo this year and had the pleasure to review his signature Petite Sirah. This wine rocks and it is clearly one of the top Petite Sirah’s we covered this year. It is opaque and pitch black in color. It opens with a fragrant mild blackberry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, very nicely balanced, and quite smooth. The flavor profile is a delicious blend of black raspberry and blackberry. The finish is dry and its refined tannins are very nicely prolonged. Pair the gorgeous Petite Sirah with a filet mignon and enjoy! Ken
Winemaker Notes: A utter bomb of black fruit (but not overripe), carried by a strong line of black pepper and finishing with coffee grounds, dark chocolate, and toasty oak. No mouth ripping tannins here. Sorry
