Wine Review: This Reserva Chianti Classico from Felsina was a big hit at a dinner with friends recently. It was very dark and an opaque purple in color. It opens with a light cherry like bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied and very well balanced with nicely integrated acidity. It is smooth with a supple texture. The flavor profile is a delicious black cherry with a hint of vanilla and spice on the back palate. The finish is dry and its tingly tannins linger nicely. This wine went exceptionally well with my veal saltimbocca at La Campania in Waltham, MA. Enjoy – Ken

Winemaker Notes: Deep, attractive ruby red colour. Elegantly fruity nose, with marked scents of wild red berries foregrounding nuances of mixed spices. The palate, too, shows excellent fruit supported by judicious tannins. Lengthy finish.
