Wine Review: This dark ruby colored Zin from Peachy finish in 5th place in our recent blind tasting of Zinfandels. This wine opens with a light boysenberry like bouquet and hints of musty oak. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, smooth, and elegant with light black raspberry flavors. The finish is dry and its building tannins linger for quite some time. The panel thought this offering was quite versatile and would pair it with braised short ribs, meatloaf, or roast beef. Enjoy – KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: This wine has great depth visually and on the palate. By fermenting the Petite Sirah with the Zinfandel, it provides a solid back bone for structure but does not over power the zinfandel characteristics of blueberry and spice that are dominant.
