Wine Review: In a recent mini blind tasting of high end reds, this wine finished in third place. It is very dark ruby in color and opens with a pleasant anise and raspberry like bouquet with hints of oak. On the palate, this medium bodied wine is smooth and crisp with quite spicy and tasty black cherry flavors. There are notes of plum and mocha as well. The finish is dry and its tannins are extended. The panel felt this wine would go nicely with barbecue ribs. Enjoy - KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: Élu 2004 has aromas of rich, vibrant, focused sweet cherry and blackberry fruit. On the palate is a wealth of flavors and an elegant, silky mouth-feel. This wine is complex and firmly-structured, while supple and polished, with a lingering finish of ripe berries and notes of vanilla toast.
