Wine Review: This pale yellow wine opens with an attractive apricot and floral like bouquet. On the palate, this wine is light bodied, crisp, nicely balanced, and rather savory with light lime like flavors with a touch of minerality. The finish is dry and very refreshing. If you like Albarino, this wine is a must try. Pair this very food friendly wine with chicken piccata. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: Albariñois believed to be most closely related to Riesling, which is why its name means “White Rhine” in Gallego, the local Galician dialect. The 2007 Fillaboa Joven Albariño has yellow apple and pineapple aromas combined with hints of citrus and stone fruit which gives the wine its distinctive freshness. Soft on the palate, the wine exhibits a well-balanced flavor profile which enhances its freshness and complexity. With well integrated acidity, this wine is unctuous, soft and refined, culminating in a lingering finish.
