Wine Review: This Cab from Dry Creek was the consensus winner at our table during a recent Wine Blogger’s Conference in Santa Rosa. It is dark ruby colored and opens with a spicy black cherry like bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, smooth, soft, elegant and very food friendly. It is fruit forward and displays slightly tart cherry flavors. The finish is quite dry and its well managed tannins lingered for quite some time. This wine paired quite nicely with the beef at dinner. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: Our 2004 Cabernet Sauvignon displays a strong memory for its origin—classic M-S Cab with all the layers and spice-driven fruit that you’ve come to appreciate from the wine we are known for. Allspice, nutmeg, clove, raspberry, and plum all make an appearance in the forefront of this wine. These all roll into the viscous middle that showcases the verve this one barely contains.
