Wine Review: I have had Dry Creeks’ Cabs by the glass for many years at various places. It is really consistent. The KWG tasting panel came to that same conclusion with a recommendation of this wine in our blind tasting. It is a very dark purple colored wine. It opens with a mild dark berry like bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, not overly complex, a bit acidic, with tart cherry flavors. The finish is quite dry, remains slightly acidic, and has some noticeable tannins that are extended. The panel felt this wine would pair nicely with meatloaf or eggplant parmigianna. Enjoy - KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: The Dry Creek Valley, known primarily for its delicious Zinfandel, also produces very intense and flavorful Cabernet Sauvignon grapes. This impressive Cabernet displays compelling aromas of sweet cherry, lush plum, and roses. The opulence of this wine shines through with a harmonious core of silky smooth tannins and rich fruit. Palate filling flavors of sweet currant, black cherry, and cocoa are perfectly balanced. This delicious wine should age beautifully for a decade or more.
