Wine Review: I’ve become quite fond of well made Gavi. I personally think it is a bit underappreciated. This is the second vintage in a row that we have recommended the Batasiolo. This light yellow wine opens with a pleasant light lime and wet stone like bouquet. On the palate, the wine is light bodied, balanced, and has nicely integrated acidity. The flavor profile is light lemon with notes of minerality. The finish is dry and nicely refreshing. We would pair this Gavi with swordfish. If you have not yet discovered Gavi, give this one a whirl. You will be quite pleased. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: This elegant, fine white wine is made from Cortese grapes grown in the specific area of the village of Gavi. It stands out for its straw-yellow colour with greenish highlights, and for its typical white flower bouquet. Well bodied, fresh and dry, it has an inviting, harmonious taste featuring almonds.
