Wine Review: This dark ruby Syrah is a very nice wine for the money. It opens with an attractive berry and plum like bouquet. On the palate, this very easy going Syrah is medium bodied, nicely balanced with no hard edges. The flavor profile is tasty black cherry with hints of vanilla and spice. The finish is dry with well managed tannins that linger for quite some time. This is a very food friendly Syrah that would pair nicely with veal parmigianna or meatloaf. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: The wine opens with aromas of smoke, cedar, and chocolate leading to bright cherry fruit framed with spicy oak. As it evolves, a nose of dark fruits and violates gives way to dark chocolate. On the palate, this wine shows rich flavors of blackberry, dark cherry and sweet brown spice with a hint of mocha. Full of soft, chewy tannins, this wine has a long, clean finish.
