Wine Review: I was traveling on my way to Mohegan Sun in Connecticut when I stopped into the Jonathan Edwards vineyard. My favorite wine from their Napa portfolio was their Cabernet. This dark ruby wine opens with an inviting menthol and black current like bouquet. On the palate, this medium bodied wine is balanced and smooth. It displays black cherry flavors with light wood and spice notes. The finish is dry and lingers for a little while. The wine would pair nicely with barbecue ribs. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: A long slow harvest season resulted in the picking of our Cabernet grapes on October 30th revealing soft tannins and subtle aromatic nuances. Earthy tones of tobacco, dark chocolate and peat continue to dominate the bouquet of our 2005 Cabernet Sauvignon.
