Wine Review: At KensWineGuide.com we are always looking for value reds to add to our popular “Practical Party Case” page. So at the NY Wine Expo I attended a seminar on Côtes du Rhône wines. This red wine from Château Mont Redon met that challenge. This deep ruby wine opens with a very nice raspberry like bouquet. On the palate, this medium bodied wine is well balanced, soft, with no hard edges and lush cherry and strawberry flavors. The finish is quite dry and had soft tannins that dissipate quickly. This is a very affordable food friendly wine that would pair nicely with light game like pheasant or rabbit. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: An intense colour with a rich, fruity nose. This Côtes du Rhône has excellent structure with full, soft tannins. The palate displays a wealth of ripe, spicy fruit flavour.
