Wine Review: The 2005 vintage in France was about as good as it gets for many regions. This Pinot from Picard shows off the strengths of the vintage. This very dark ruby wine opens with a very delightful cherry like bouquet. On the palate, this wine is smooth, well balanced, has a dry mouthfeel, and displays delicious dusty raspberry and cherry like flavors. The finish is quite dry and has noticeable soft tannins that linger for quite some time. I would pair this wine with filet mignon or a NY strip steak. Enjoy – Ken
