Wine Review: This sparkling wine from Gloria Ferrar finished in second place in our most recent blind tasting. It was my personal favorite. This straw colored wine with fine bubbles opens with a wet dough like bouquet. This medium bodied sparkler is well balanced on the palate and has lemon like flavors with hints of green apple and lime. The finish is dry, elegant, and nicely extended. The panel felt this wine would go well with appetizers and cheese. Enjoy - KWGTP

Winemaker Notes: A wine with an intriguing duality, the 2000 Royal Cuvée strikes a balance between high-toned fruit flavors and complex, mature elements realized from five years of yeast aging. In the bouquet one finds lemon, papaya and kirsch, all underscored by fresh Brioche aromas. On the palate, a cascade of fine bubbles guides Asian pear, red berries and roasted nut flavors through a long finish.
