Wine Review: I generally prefer Barbaresco over Barolo’s because they are more approachable at a young age. This Barbareso from Albino Rocca fit that bill. This wine opens with an intense cherry bouquet with hints of licorice. On the palate, this wine is rich, concentrated, dry, and has wonderful spicy plum like flavors. The finish is very very dry, has noticeable fine tannins, and is quite lengthy. This is a wine that you could enjoy now with a steak, but it will also show well for the next 5 years coming out of your cellar. Enjoy - Ken
