Wine Review: Did you ever try a wine, having no expectations and then say Wow!! That happened to me with this wine. I had never heard of this wine, but boy did it make a lasting impression. This very dark purple wine opens with an inviting spicy black current like bouquet. On the palate, this wine is very smooth, well balanced, and has lush forward blackberry like flavors with hints of menthol and spice. The finish is very dry and has pronounced, but fine tannins. It is quite lengthy as well. This is a dream wine to have with you favorite steak. Enjoy this gem. Ken
Winemaker Notes: 2004 Meander shows the ripeness and intensity of the vintage with style and balance. Inky black in color with aromas of black berries, coffee, dark chocolate and licorice. Richly bodied Rutherford dust qualities with well resolved tannins and lengthy finish. Release date March 1, 2007.
