Wine Review: This Pinot Gris from J may be the best Pinot Gris that I have had from California in quite some time. This light yellow colored wine opens with a pleasant ripe pear like bouquet. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, very well balanced, and creamy with delicious fruit forward pear like flavors with a hint of apple and minerality on the back palate. The finish is dry and very refreshing. As a result, this wine would be a wonderful choice with bacon wrapped scallops or ham. Enjoy – Ken

Winemaker Notes: The 2006 J Pinot Gris leads with tropical fruit aromas of pineapple, mango and guava blended with delicate notes of honeysuckle, pear and Fuji apple.
