Wine Review: The 2003 Goldeneye was one of my favorite wines from last year, so I was very excited to try the 2004 vintage. This wine opens with a pleasant and inviting strawberry like bouquet with hints of dried cranberry. On the palate, this medium bodied wine is silky smooth, lively, and a touch acidic. It displays ripe raspberry like flavors with hints of black current. The finish is dry, elegant, and relatively brief for this wine. This wine would pair nicely with pork tenderloin with a sage infused brown sauce. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: This full-bodied wine has lofty weight yet the wine is supple, elegant and well-balanced. The aroma is inviting with notes of leaf tobacco, mushroom, forest floor, leather, and cinnamon. The flavors are dominated by blueberry, plum, blackberry, and a medley of spices, including clove, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
