Wine Review: This wine has a big fruit forward bouquet that jumps out of the glass. On the palate, this wine is lively and really expresses it fruit. This vibrant wine truly reflects the flavors of the chardonnay grape. On the finish, the wine is subtle with a touch of vanilla oak. If you are looking for a refreshing Chardonnay this summer, chill this wine and enjoy. Ken
Winemaker Notes: The 2005 Russian River Chardonnay begins with abundant aromas of peach, apricot, pear, and toasted almonds. More complex aromas of spice and hazelnut are revealed after several minutes in the glass. On the palate, crisp acidity from our cool weather vineyards strike an excellent balance with subtle oak nuances. The finish is long and lingering with additional vanilla and cream elements that add even more finesse and elegance to this beautiful wine.
