Winemaker Notes: Maximus is our flagship red wine blend at Bennett Lane. Made with 100% Napa Valley fruit, there isn't a better deal in the valley. Intense aromas of ripe black raspberry and strawberry jam are showcased with a background of anise, oak and cedar. On the palate, flavors of dark cherry, mocha and toffee lead to soft, velvety tannins , and a long, lingering finish which makes the 2003 Maximus an elegant feasting wine.
