Wine Review: We decided to update our review of this wine at the 2008 Boston Wine Expo and see how it was performing almost a year after we first tried it. We still really liked it a lot & still scored it Very Good +. This brick red wine opens with a pleasant cranberry like bouquet. On the palate, this wine is smooth, has nice structure, is a touch acidic, and displays concentrated cranberry like flavors with some black cherry mixed in. The finish is dry and has some tannins that linger nicely. Enjoy this wine with eggplant parmigiana if you are my wife or veal parmigiana if you are me. Cheers - Ken
Winemaker Notes: This second bottling is inviting in appearance with its dark ruby red color, the 2004 "Jones Vineyard" Cabernet Franc brings scents of plum-violets, raspberry and cherry with hints of light smoke and spice to the nose. Upon tasting, flavors of blueberry and vanilla on the palate give way to a thick and lasting finish of currant, sweetwood and a hint of coconut.
