Wine Review: The last wine I tried at Dry Creek Vineyards was the show stopper. This late harvest Zin opens with a nice pleasant fruity bouquet. On the palate, this creamy dessert wine is silky, sweet, and extremely well balanced. The finish was wonderful. Served with chocolates, this was an extremely nice closing wine from this fine producer. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: This special dessert Zinfandel comes from some of our finest vineyards in the Dry Creek Valley. These late harvest grapes were allowed to hang on the vine for an additional month to concentrate flavors and sugar. When harvested, the fruit registered 37¬? Brix. This Late Harvest Zinfandel is juicy and full-bodied on the palate with mulberry, plum and blackberry notes. It is well balanced, without being overripe, and is best enjoyed as an after dinner complement with your favorite dessert or cheeses.
